Kelly Dwyer gives his award picks at this point of the season. LeBron his front-runner for MVP, which isn’t a surprise, as Kelly is a big-time empiricist when it comes to these kind of things, favoring stats more than most despite the staggering amount of basketball he watches. (That’s not compliment or a criticism, just how Kelly’s methodology goes.)

To me, the better news is Varejao coming in second on his DPOY list and finally getting some recognition as a truly valuable player instead of a scrappy energy guy off the bench.

Controversial adjusted +/- guru returns to TrueHoop. Of note is that the Cavs’ lineup of Gibson/West or Parker/James/Varejao/Z makes his list of extremely effective but underutilized lineups.

Windhorst with an article on h0w the Cavs may be looking to make a minor move with some of their non-guaranteed contracts in the near future. It begins.
