As a longtime fan of TT’s potential, and a huge skeptic of JV, reading Thorpe’s post was quite enjoyable. TT has limitations, but I believe in the young man. TT!

I am not an Insider, but is this performance based or related to team drafting needs? If its performance, I have many quibbles but can relate half a year in. If its drafting needs, then its abundantly clear that the KAHN intangible of duplicating assets is the reason. I am pleased though that talent evaluators see what Grant saw when drafting
I was shocked when I read that, to be honest. But Thorpe has been high on TT all year. I would take Jonas. I don’t dislike TT, but I feel like he has a limited ceiling.
He liked how TT would fit with Love in Minnesota.
But holy crap, I fully expected him to be at 9 or 10 in this list. Between this article and TT’s 27 and 12, my view of him is totally re-energized.
I like TT’s attitude for a young guy. Him and Kyrie seem like they were raised right. Hopefully they develop into amazing players.
But then tonight he goes and gets 5 rebounds in 41 minutes. To go with 5 turnovers. I am the opposite of high on TT.
I know this sounds harsh, but is there no chance d flipping TT for a high pick or another young talent that fits better with our needs? I just don’t know how he will work with Andy.
We don’t know yet what Jan V would produce in the NBA. He’s still unknown. I would have taken him over TT, and if the draft were today, I still would. Right now it seems to me that this draft was as weak as advertised. But – to me it seems like a best case scenario for TT is like a Ben Wallace. I really don’t think he’ll ever get any semblance of an offensive game. However, if TT turns into Ben Wallace, I’ll be pretty happy. All the starters don’t have to be offensive machines (provided that we get a couple more players who can score). But props to the Cavs management for grabbing what might have been the top 2 talents with the #1 and #4 picks. And I’m super-glad that we didn’t get Derrick Williams.
