Alright all, now that we know the long and short of this trade deadline, a couple of us bloggers are going to record a new podcast this weekend.
I figured it’d be cool to give you guys the ability to suggest a couple of topics/prompts for us to discuss during the podcast.
In the comments section, please post what you guys would like to hear us talk about – I’ll pick a couple and pose them as questions to everyone involved.
I want you to touch on how terrible Luke Walton is and why he should never step a foot outside of Canton. Seriously, forget that turd.
Also, does this trade make LAL better or worse now that Fisher is gone.
Sasha Kaun update for those of us in denial that think he could have an impact. Unabashed Jayhawk fan as well so here’s to thomas robinson becoming the offensive force for the cavs to TT’s defensive intensity.
Definitely makes the Lakers better…
I’d like to know what you guys think the Cavs should target in the draft; wing players, since we only have one solid one (Gee), or should we go big even though we have Varejao, since he isn’t getting any younger and we really don’t have much else behind him.
Also, what free agents we should go after, if any.
Also also…how the hell is Ryan Hollins still in the NBA? Did he blackmail somebody? i need to know this.
please provide an update on Mallory’s dismissal.
You should discuss “8th seed or 8th pick” (tank or playoffs)
Are Chris Grant and Dan Gilbert on different pages on the rebuild? Grant seems to be more into lottery positioning and Gilbert gives off a win now vibe. Either way, do you think losing Sessions will add a couple more L’s to the loss column?
With the triumphant return of Jason Kapono, what other members of the ’03-’04 Cavs would you like to see rejoin the team?
“’03-’04 Roster
What should the Cavs give up to acquire Luke Ridnour and Luke Babbitt. Should Luc Richard “the prince” Mbah a Moute be excluded from this discussion?
Though we would obviously a couple of years away before giving up on any rookie – especially the number 4 pick – I would be interested to hear what kind of timeline you guys think is reasonable to become a respectable rotation player. Considering that he only played one year of college, I think an off-season of quality offensive development coaching is going to do this guy wonders.
Just realized I left it out of my post – I was talking about Tristan is you were confused
How about some thoughts on what the Cavs will do for a backup PG?
I’d love to hear some prospect updates based on what we’ll have seen so far during the tournament, or who to look out for that we may not have heard of (maybe that we could end up taking with the Lakers’ pick).
What do you think about auston rivers if he comes out? And bradley beal? Who are the top 5 prospects for the cavs in the up coming draft? And who could we potentially get with the lakers 1st round pick?
What are the odds the Cavs take a flyer on Greg Oden and make him the first paraplegic to start in an NBA game?
What are the Cavs all-time best and worst trades?
could the extra picks we have be a part of a greater package (our lottery pick) to move up in the draft to get Barnes/Kidd-Gilcrest?
Now that Sessions is gone it’s time to tank, tank, tank… Ideal situation is to end lower than New Orleans, If Kyrie gets any more ideas about late game heroics, Scott needs to pull him. We’ve already seen enough to know what he is. If there is any way possible to bundle the second and third picks in a trade for a low teens pick that would also be ideal. If the Cavs can learn anything from how the Browns got jobbed this year, then the path is clear, tank like the future of the franchise depends on it and keep the destiny in your own hands, not others. The window is small to make the team a deep playoff contender before K goes FA. Tick tick tick…
That’s just plain silly.
for a podcast?
ought to be a rollicking discussion over… “the weirdest question you ever got?”
Don’t know if I’m too late, but I’d be interested in some kind of deeper look into the pros and cons of losing now vs. winning now. I keep seeing this belief that people don’t want the Cavs to have a “losing culture,” but I’ve never seen it backed up by anything more than anecdotal evidence.
Maybe do an update on what you’re seeing in the NCAA tournament, and how it relates to who the Cavs might target in the draft. For example, Andre Drummond looked bad last night. He only took four shots and other than some nice blocks, wasn’t much of a factor. Combine that with his 33% ft shooting, and I think the Cavs should pass on him if he’s available.
-Your thoughts on the halftime entertainment at the Q being a game of 1 on 1 between Luke Walton and Luke Harangody to determine who truly is the worst Brian Scalebrine in the NBA. White men might not be able to jump or dance, but they sure as hell can cheer from the bench.
-What the Cavs final record will be and what teams will be below them in the standings. I’ll go with 24-42 and they will be behind the Bobcats, Hornets, Wizards and Raptors (in that order). The Nets and Pistons will definitely pass them and it will be close with the Raptors.
-Should the Cavs draft the best available player or reach for need? I say draft the best available player.
-If the Cavs strike lighting twice and win the lottery and draft Anthony Davis what do they do with Tristan?
-Do Cavs fans wildly overvalue Anderson Varejao because of his haircut? They lost 20 of his last 21 games last season before he went down with an injury.
-Who is Kyrie’s long term comp (Tony Parker 2: Bigger and Blacker-er)? Who is Tristan’s long term comp (Tyrus Thomas with hustle).
-Did Dan Gilbert really beat up a guy at a Bah Mitzvah?
-Between Lebron’s meltdown in the Finals and Mickey Arison losing a half billion dollars in the Costa Concordia wreck are you starting to believe in the curse from “The Comic Sans Letter.”
-What players in the draft do you hope the Cavs don’t draft? For me it’s Austin Rivers. He’s a ball dominant chucker and I don’t see him meshing with Kyrie.
-Should the Cavs buyout Jamison and go all in to get Irving a running mate? (Yes!)
Tony is my new favorite poster.
