Live Thread: Cavs vs. Bulls (#MLKDay)

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said a multitude of amazingly inspirational and poignant things in his all too brief time on this planet. Words that brought hope and stirred belief in the hearts and minds of a nation. One such quotation (above) could apply to everyone, even at their lowest points. So, on this day of remembrance for MLK, these sage words of advice seem particularly relevant to the two teams that will square off at the Quicken Loans Arena.
The Cavs and the Bulls boast the two worst records in basketball currently (9-38 and 10-36 respectively). They have one win between them in their last 20 combined. They rank at the bottom of the league in scoring. They have both been ravaged by injuries. They are both essentially tanking for Zion, because that is probably the quickest path for moving forward… even if it is the equivalent of crawling.
Prediction: Ultimately, someone has to win this game… so, why not the Cavs… 99-95.

lastly (at least i think it is my last of the day).. love will make no difference to this lineup.. he can make a good lineup better, but thinking he can work any “magic” with this crew is delusional.. TRADE HIM… NOW.. before he gets injured again.. And trade TT as well, before he regresses back to his mean value.. you need a young naive crew who is just happy to be in the nba (who have talent, mind you) to survive this soul-numbing losing..
Big Z may not have the highest ceiling of the cedi/sexton/zizic trio, BUT, he has the highest floor.. he produces.. consistently.. he would be the last player i would trade.. actually.. i would NOT trade Big Z.. he stays
and yes, hood and burks value just dropped.. better move them quickly before they drop even more..

well, they aren’t going to go 7-72, BUT, the remainder of the season is going to be a long slog through the poo.. Are they unwatchable now, or do they need to go 1-12 again to achieve that?
can 1 highly talented rook make a difference next year? probably.. let’s hope.. but then there is also the 2020 lottery.. the process is the process

Sexton, Cedi, or Zizic?
Eh…I still say Sexton, but it’s so hard to get a read on guys when we’ve had so many different lineups and barely any continuity. I don’t know if it was coming back from the West Coast trip, but the whole team looked outta whack today.
Cedi? I don’t know. None of them look like nba players a lot of the time. Sexton at least has youth on his side, but I don’t think he will ever be a playmaker. Just has awful tunnel vision. Worse than Kyrie has ever had.
Boy this team is in a tailspin.
It is a really bad sign when Jordan Clarkson, of all people, leads your team in assists during a game.
