Live Thread: Cavs vs. Pacers (#OnATuesday)

In the words of a Drake verse in an ILoveMakonnen rap… “club’s goin up on a Tuesday.” Well, since that’s pretty much the only direction this Cavs club can go, given they are at the bottom looking up at the rest of the NBA, why not go up on a Tuesday?

In case you’re just tuning in this season, no matter how bad things seem to get for the Cavs… there is always Tuesday. Sure, there’s only been three of them thus far, but the club is 3-0 on the second day of the week. The last such Tuesday, they beat tonight’s opponent, the Indiana Pacers. That also happened to be their last victory of any kind before this current nine game slide. Granted, this game might be a bit tougher, since those same Pacers are probably looking to avenge that (for them) embarrassing loss on that last Tuesday, and the Cavs have looked exponentially worse lately.

Nothing else has really worked to halt the losing (well, not just losing but soul-crushing, 20+ point beatdowns)… not team meetings, not lineup changes, not random player shuffling (adios Pat McCaw… hello Cameron Payne?). About the only hope they have left is a little Tuesday magic.

Prediction: I’ve covered every Tuesday game… so, in keeping with tradition, I’ll prognosticate a lopsided win for the opposition (on the remote off-chance that the disrespect is inspiration to the beleaguered club). And, since the scores have already been getting ridiculous… I’ll go one step beyond and say Pacers win 149-72 (that should fire them up… on a Tuesday).
