Live Thread: Cavs @ Bucks

It’s going to be a strange one. Matthew Dellavedova returns to the Fiserv Forum to face the guys he called teammates just a week ago, while George Hill faces off against the Cavs in his new hunter green digs. Cleveland comes into this one, depending on Delly to play some guard as they are down Rodney Hood, David Nwaba, John Henson, J.R. Smith, and Kevin Love. They do have G-Leaguers, Jared Blossomgame and Jalen Jones in the fold, and we’re probably looking at a nine man rotation with Channing and Ante riding the pine.

The projected starters look like Thompson, Blossomgame, Osman, Burks, and Sexton while, Milwaukee posts the impressive lineup of Lopez, Antentokounmpo, Middleton, Brogdon, and Bledsoe. Man. That’s a lot of letters. The Bucks look to be at full health, and the Cavs will have their hands full.

Delly’s been pretty rough this year, posting a career low 32% from the field but a respectable (and still career low) 36% from three to go along with 2.4 assists and .9 turnovers. Lets hope he starts taking some finishing lessons from someone. The good news? Delly hasn’t missed a freebie all year.

For Cleveland, stopping the number one offense in the NBA who just added another 40% three point shooter is going to be tough. George Hill was quietly posting a very good season so far with a 60 TS% in 13 games. And Milwaukee already runs a four out offense with Giannis the lone bricker in the top six. The bench brings the energy with Pat Connaughtan and Donte DiVincenzo at the guard spots.

Finally, we get to watch one of this year’s top MVP candidates, The Alphabet, who is only putting up a 27/13/7 line nightly to go with 1.5 blocks and 1.3 steals. If I were the Cavs, he’d see a lot of Tristan Thompson and Larry Nance.

Can’t wait for some Delly flobs and flops. Let’s go Cavs!
