As the “Season of Why?” continues, I’m optimistically hoping Larry pulls the Cavs out of their funk tonight and that he doesn’t get in foul trouble against Andre Drummond. Also hoping LeBron stops being one of the worst wings in the league when it comes to contesting perimeter shots, and the Cavs stop leaving shooters so wide open. If there’s a team you can get away with that against, though, it’s probably Detroit.

Lue getting a lot of questions about Nance. He’s sounding fairly defensive right now. Can’t claim to be his decision to start him and is in a fairly uncomfortable position as a result.
As crazy as not starting Nance is how few minutes he was getting off the bench. Lue should be on the defensive

Jr is a zero ,he’s an emotional wreck and gives us nothing doesn’t get a darn rebound either , korver cedi Clarkson all had like 5 -6 rebounds they all hustle to add whatever they can to the game, jr brings nothing but an occasional hot shooting game. The guy had got to be benched!

Yup… that was a sweet play. I’ve noticed he’s been working on his playmaking skills recently. I think he just needs to focus on shooting first, then dribble driving on hard close-outs and playmaking second.
JR is on the back 9 but he is still valuable. Probably shouldn’t start but there are so few players with his ability to hit shots even when defenses are in his face. JR and TT are not the same.
Yup not as bad as tt but right up there next to him , we don’t need the occasional hot crazy shooting ! We need stability and consistency of hard energized play !!! Jr is the furthest thing from that !
We need that in the regular season. In the playoffs, you sometimes have no way to score except in guys faces. JR is elite at that. He has won us a game or more in each of the last three playoffs. He is still able to do that. TT might not be able to be the guy that nearly won us games in the 2015 finals.
At least the Cavs protected the paint tonight. Let’s hope they bring the same energy to the road trip. The next one against the Nuggets could get ugly early.
Well…the team looks far better with even Zizic on the floor instead of TT…Seemed more capable on defense and was respectable on offense…
the pistons aren’t any good. but if Larry Nance Jr keeps playing like this I’m not sure what that means for TT.
It means he doesn’t start. TT is passable on O when surrounded by 2 generationally good iso players (Bron & Irving) + a fantastc stretch big in Love + another shooter.
In a mortal offense, he gums it up. And he stinks on D.
JR with 0 points in 23 minutes is just absurd. The pipe has permanent leaks I am afraid

Drummond had 18 consecutive double doubles stopped tonight albeit by one board. Nance sure slowed him up in the first half

I feel kike Hood will have a great year mext season, something like 18ppg with lil’ above average defense and good shooting percentage.
Whether that results to a 6th man or a statrter for us, it might be bad for JR. And we know what an unhappy JR is for a team.
