Hello Cavs: the Blog.
My apologies for being a little late to the party. I’m the picture guy. And what was initially conceived as a series of companion pieces to the ever so informative profiles Kevin and Mo have been supplying have since gone the way of the addendum; tragically tardy, but hopefully still of note.
I’ve brought with me today picture number one (Kyrie “good god please find your way to Cleveland because there is literally no one else I’m at all excited about” Irving) and I’m shooting for a new one to be posted each Sunday from now until the draft. Gauntlet thrown down. To myself.
Let’s hope this picture, more so than any of them to come, turns out to be prescient.

I echo much of what has been said – I’m more excited about Irving than any other player in the draft.
I also think we should give up any refrences to us all being witnesses. Thoughs are big (and tainted) shoes to fill and we should put those kinds of expecations on anybody.
Um… is Nike paying you to make ads for them?
Please drop the whole ‘witness’ thing. LeBron is a gifted athlete of course, but you don’t want to go smearing his taint all over the next generation of Cavaliers.

I am on the Irving bandwagon as well…keep them fingers crossed!
Kyrie definitely has the potential to be a star and the #1 option on a championship contender. I think Derrick Williams is more of a #2 or #3 option (ideally) depending on how good the rest of the team is.

Jeez, I’m nervous already about Kyrie. I’m not yet sold on Derrick Williams as a game changer. I’m hoping for a two year streak of draft luck where we pick up a cornerstone guy and an effective role player with our two lottery picks this year, and then hit on another star next year in what is looking like a loaded draft.
I’ll echo—let’s see what happens…
