Links To The Present: April 1, 2011

Sorry, guys. There’s a dearth of Cavs coverage today due to the Opening Day at Progressive Field. (Do people still call it “The Jake”? They should.) Anyway, here are a couple links:

Byron Scott is saying it’s a necessity that Ryan Hollins anchor “the painted area” (copyright Hubie Brown) against teams with a great deal of height and length. I assume that there’s an implied “until we can–please God let this happen–replace him in the offseason with someone who looks like they have played basketball for more than a month” in that sentiment.

Mary Schmitt Boyer is reporting that J.J. Hickson and Byron Scott are getting along much better than they did earlier in the season. To Hickson’s credit, he does seem to be working harder on a consistent basis (there are still lapses), and Scott has cut him a bit more slack.
