Yeah he does have an expiring contract.. it would be nice to get something for him though, but it doesn’t look like it could happen.
Is gonna be hard for the Cavs to get rid of Jameson, almost impossible… Old, too expensive and no defensive skills — enough said. Am I correct in saying AP has an expiring contract? If that’s the case, he might be easier to get rid off.
I honestly can’t see the Cavs being able to get rid of Jamison and AP. If they can, what are they waiting for?
At this point, Cavs can start winning respectable amount of games & still get top odds for draft lottery. I mean, .500 ball from here on out leaves them with like 24-25 wins, which is terrible. If they get to 20 wins it’ll be a miracle and as to a 45-game streak, it is unlikely, but Hollinger’s piece today reminded us the Cavs are one OT win away from having a 30+ game losing streak. I go back to my standby for the ’02-’03 season, which is: If the team is clearly one of the worst in the league, I hope for them to lose for a better draft pick, BUT, I want to see tangible growth by the young guys, and close games. Basically, if we’re going to lose, and we’re terrible anyway, at least let us lose in entertaining fashion. The Nyets game with the Hollins chicken slap defenes on the Lopez game winner is a prime example.
Their defense is beyond horrible.
I cannot fathom that the Cavs go winless the rest of the year and break Philly’s record for futility. That would mean a lossing streak of almost 45 games; 20+ games more than the current longest losing streak in NBA history. The law of averages dictates that the Cavs fall into at least one victory between now and the end of the season. When it comes is anybodys guess.
