FOR SHAQ TRADE, SCROLL DOWN.
Anyways, almost the entire TrueHoop Network is going to live-blog the draft this year, which should be a lot of fun in an insane way. The party starts right here at 5 PM EST, so come, comment, and have fun.

I’ve had time to pound back a few shots and I still hate Ferry for this pick! Hopefully we can win anyways and get someone useful with the MLE, but THIS PICK DOES NOT AT ALL FIT IN WITH WHAT THE CAVALIERS NEED TO BE DOING! WE DON’T NEED RANDOM ATHLETES TO DEVELOP FOR SEVERAL YEARS. WE NEED TO WIN A TITLE!
Why didn’t they take this guy with their second round pick? Was he in high demand? He was projected to go pretty late, right? Does Ferry really think this is a better pick than Budinger, Calathes, Mills, Summers, Young or Blair?
Oh well, I hope they know something I don’t.
the amazing thing about this is that it makes absolutely zero sense even if they’re trying to save money. are they really going to fill their glaring hole at the swing positions cheaper through FA than through the draft?
also, Ferry said he was trying to draft a gut with a high ceiling. the draft report on this guy says he possesses little or no actual basketball skills and has a low basketball iq. his ceiling is basically shitty mikael pietrus.
and earlier in the day Ferry claimed the cavs were in position to win a championship even though they only have five actual rotation players under contract.
how many crack rocks had danny ferry smoken to celebrate the shaq trade when they asked him who he wanted to draft? thats the real question.
also, my buddy pointed out how shocking it is even to him as an outsider that Windhorst, one of the more on-the-ball beat writers in the business, had no clue this was happening.
ridiculous. time to drink more.
I guess i agree with all of you. who the hell is that guy? and what makes him better than everyone else…. i was so excited when i saw all of those names left when our pick came around… but we go with the guy from congo of course
Cmon, nobody we could pick at 30 was going to start for us, or make a significant difference in our championship hopes. If in three years this kid turns into the next Manu Ginobli, or even just a solid player, everybody will think it was a great move. I do like Green tho, although I don’t think he’s as good of a dancer as people say…
