The Comment Monster
A monster lives in the comments section of Cavs: The Blog, and he likes to feed on comments. We have very little idea about when he will strike. What we do know is that comments with 2 or more links will get filed into the spam folder, as will comments with foul or discriminatory language. The comment monster also seems to enjoy extra-long comments, so if you have a long comment, you may want to press copy before submitting a long comment and break it into multiple pieces if the monster eats it. Bron-Bron vs. Kobe. Blah, blah, blah. I like seeing TEAMS play. Watching the Nuggets especially is an enjoyable experience. Lebron is the best athlete we’ve ever seen in the NBA, but I’m sick of hearing about him being a legend because he hit one game-winning shot. Quit comparing to MJ or Magic or whoever, just let this generation be their own generation! It’s marketable, yeah, but got old a while ago already.
The bottom line here is that Lebron isn’t getting a ring. So whether they close out the magic or not, Lebron can’t do it with his lil’ overexcited arrogant squad. Maybe after shedding his tears over not getting a NBA ring he’ll try getting one in the NFL. He probably has a better chance getting one traveling with a pigskin, than traveling his way to a hoop.
okay kobe is a great player, probably the second best 2 of all time. let’s say dr. j (i know he played a 3, let’s be a little creative here, he’d be a 2 today) used to be mj’s back-up, now kobe is better than dr. j, a top 10 player probably, top 15 for sure. but he’s never going to be the GOAT. LeBron is the only one in the conversation for GOAT out of anyone playing right now. D-Wade is nice, but too injury prone, Melo, is he Bron’s Clyde? Kobe and LBJ would be awesome. Maybe Mike Brown can teach his guys to stop the high pick and roll after the Magic have run the same play for 4 f… games with the same result. I have never seen a more 1-sided officiated game in my life. Bron trips over his own feet and the refs call a foul. Dwight Howard gets undercut on the inbound and the refs don’t do anything. You would think that after the whole Tim Donaghy situation the league would make a point to have the refs call even games…I’d like to see Lakers/Cavs in the finals as much as anybody, but it shouldn’t have to be rigged to get them there.

The NBA is a joke. I really try to like the NBA and watch the games, but when the game is on the line the Refs are terrible. No fouls away from the ball, giving fouls to Superstars (LeBron at the end of regulation of game four fell down on his own when he tried to initiate contact on a defender that moved out of his way), and not calling fouls when it doesn’t help even the series (no call for fouling Howard at the end of regulation of game 4? really?). It’s come to the point where I have to realize that the NBA is not really basketball, it’s entertainment…. like the WWF is to wrestling.
