Live Thread: Cavs Vs Timberwolves

Kevin Love’s old dysfunctional and drab family is coming to town to visit, and they are going to see his new sexy and high functioning family. At least, this is the type of family Kevin hopes they see, so that he doesn’t regret leaving the old one. Anthony Bennett, aka the Gum Drop Bear, will be playing for Love’s old family at the same position that he did. Andrew Wiggins, a Cavalier for around 35 days, give or take a few, will be playing across from LeBron James.
The Cavs should win this game easily, but this game could be a mentally damaging game either way if Wiggins wows and Love doesn’t play great. There will be talk no matter what after the game. What’s the talk during and before, you tell me!
I predict the Cavs win this one, 101-92.

Sounds like AV may have a torn Achilles, which would mean he’s done for the year.
Is time to get a big one by trade or by other means. Hopefully Andy does not miss the rest of season.
It would be nice if we could at least get him back for the playoffs.

Nice runaway win for the Cavs. Only real downside was the injury to Andy. Hope it’s not too serious. Everyone else was for the most part awesome.

Wiggins and Dieng are going to be good to great players in this league. Shabazz might be decent.
AC commented on this, but it also seemed like after LBJ got popped in the face by Shabazz, LBJ got angry and flipped the switch.
TWolves are really not that good, but they were playing with energy and confidence early. LBJ and the boys turned up the D intensity and started hitting big shots deep and a 3 point lead instantly becomes a 17 point one.
Cavs just turned on a switch and its all of sudden 17pt lead….this could get over 20 rather quickly

So I put my boys to bed and cavs dropped some serious points. What was the catalyst?
Combination of good D, some TWolves turnovers (couple of travelling calls) and missed shots, and some AWESOME deep threes from LBJ and Waiters

Man, I wouldn’t mind having Dieng on this team. Guy is going to be a beast. Maybe not Ibaka good, but up there.

Cavs should cool it on the double teams. No need to double team ANYONE on this team. They are overplaying and leaving the weak side wide open.
Another instance of a far inferior team that the Cavs should be able to put away early, but just don’t choke out and instead play down to their level.

I thought so too. Cavs must have joked about their record or something but the wolves aren’t that bad. No where near the sixes or lakers bad.
Their record says otherwise, but I get what you mean. Truth is, this has all the makings of a revenge game for the Wolves. It’s probably the ONLY time they’ll be on National TV this year. They want to get back at KLove for leaving. Wiggins wants to show the Cavs and LBJ why they should have kept him. Mo and Bennett used to play here and got discarded. LOTS of motivation for them tonight. But they’re not that good.

Stuck in a meeting for first half. Looks like there were some rocky parts, but that LBJ, Kyrie and Dion got going toward the end of the half to get a little separation.
Marion doesn’t seem to happy with the teams play in first half.
Total side note on Bennett. His shoulders are massive. The wwe would be a second career for him.
