Is a certain large media entity asking Krolik not to mention another large media entity by name on this blog? If so, that’s fucked up.
Mo shouldn’t back down on anything he said. He has a habit of being a little emotional on Twitter at times, but as a Cavs fan, given where we are now, I find it refreshing. I’m sure James leaving was a major kick in the gut for him and whatever he said in that interview was hyperbole. Who cares? Play hard and this city will love you Mo.
No, ESPN 100% has not said anything about that. It was just me being cute. Full disclosure: I know ESPN is an easy target, but my experience with them has been AMAZING. On every level. I’ve worked for a lot of entities, and I can 100% tell you that ESPN does not deserve 95-99% they get. From experience.
He should have just let everyone think what they wanted.
Sounds like he wasn’t misquoted or misrepresented by Spears so much as misunderstood by people (other players) who read the article. As you noted in your post about it John, contemplating and actually doing it are entirely different things.
People keep using dating metaphors for the LeBron situation, which I think may be getting a little bit stale, but I think one applies in this case. Mo is like your buddy who just got dumped tying several on at the bar and lamenting about how he’s done with women for the rest of his life. When he’s recounting the story later about the break-up and mentions he was so distraught that at the time he thought he’d never date another woman again, it doesn’t mean that he was really considering being done with women for the rest of his life, it just shows how devastated he was by the break up.
