If the above picture isn’t working for you, head over to the team’s official site for a look. I like ‘em — kind of an old-school flair to them, but clean and modern-looking as well. Hopefully this means the Cavs won’t be wearing 2,000 different jerseys over the course of next season.
They look good. We need a good new uniform for the Hickson Era.
I always liked the orange/blue combo better, but these ones are not bad.
They should go all out next season and come up with a complete new color combo.
I like the Road Uni, the home uni looks really ‘plain’.
the home uni is plain? aren’t they both exactly the same except for the color?
color matters – the white is plain.
I actually prefer the home uni. Like em both though.
Now they just need an alternate yellow. Stick with three jerseys. No more of that “different jersey for every day” crap.
I agree on the home uniforms. As a side note, I will never be purchasing a uniform again. I always avoided it because it bothered me owning a 40- 70 dollar uniform for a player that was probably going to leave… then I thought I was making a sure bet when I bought a Z uniform 2 years ago. Never thought he’d leave… damnit.
Not sure about the now bolder gold. I do like the “Cleveland” for away and “Cavs” for home change. I would never purchase a uni. Rediculous prices for players that will never be around longer than a few years. Although, I really wanted a Z fathead awhile back. A Z uniform sounds worth it. He’s a great player/person and deserves a ring.
They are nice but defo not the best time to get one with a name on the back. Anyone could go at any time :(
I like the away jerseys the most of the 2… I’d like to buy one, but as said, ain’t no tellin who’s gonna be there. That’s why I never bout a #23 jersey, tho still my fav on-court player. I’m more of a shoe junky personally. 5 different colorways of lbj 7′s last year :/ . Tho said player no longer a Cav, no way I’m burning those LOL
In all seriousness, I have a question for you guys. Everybody is expecting AJ and Mo to be moved by trade deadline. I understand AJ. But bad contract aside, why the sentiment to get rid of mo? I agree he probably isn’t the answer for a “franchise player” per se, but he actually WANTS to play for the Cavs. As much as people seem to think of Cleveland as a dead end wasteland, why not keep a decent player that wants to be there. Dan’s letter will likely be less of a concern once the money starts talkin, but I say SOME stability on the roster is gonna be somewhat important. While I don’t know how good the team will be this year, God forbid them actually push for a playoff spot.
j cashtro – I’m with you on the Mo situation. No the cavs are not going to build around him, but why not keep a good player on the roster that wants to be here? Jamiso is different although a really good offensive player, I think his lack of defense skills and his high price will make him a candidate for trading. Is that why Samuels was brought in – to replace AJ?
I don’t think you can say anything about who will or won’t be traded. If the Cavs are in the playoff race, then it’s hard to rock the boat. If they aren’t, then who would want Jamison? Maybe a team like the Spurs? Who wants Mo? they are both offensive players who have unorthodox games who are under matched on defense. They also have contracts that extend beyond this year.
As for the Uniforms, they’re very boring. I can’t say I like them.
Love the uniforms. Getting back to a classic design, which I like a lot. Also, there is a team motto stitched in: “All For One, One For All”. I’m sure that was written before LBJ left, but still, it’s a nice little dig. The trades are an iffy proposition. The Cavs are faced with going in and competing for a 7-8 seed with Jamison, Mo, Moon, and Parker or waiting to see if they should gut the roster and play for the lottery without those guys. In my opinion, going for it this year is the right call, but you don’t want to get stuck as a .500 team for more than a year or two. That starts the cycle of mediocrity. However, the threat of a labor problem in the NBA makes it even more worthwhile to go after this year.
I like the new uniforms, but it kind of seems like there is a total disconnect between these and the current logo. there’s a lot of blue in the logo and none in the uniforms, for example. And while I never liked the big “C” on the previous uniforms, at least it was in the logo. That “C” is now relegated to the bottom of the shorts.
Just seems like a weird combo. I would be OK with them scrapping the current logo completely and just using the C-with-sword, in wine and gold, as the team logo.
The new home uniform looks like the Houston Rockets’ 90s home jerseys. I think these look great.
About the possible trades – I hope we don’t get rid of Mo. He’s solid player – not a star, but a good support guy. He also seems to have a good personality that meshes well with other players. I see him as a back-up point guard at some point making near the veteran minimum but still producing at an adequate level.
