Windy’s day 3 update [ may be the climax of FA]
Common FA thread: Everyone “happy” with their meetings with LBJ. [ Chicago pleased writes Branson Wright]
Cavs try to pitch home and familiarity [ writes BW]
Great article on what is at stake for LeBron [ By Chris Broussard]
I only have mobile internet in Kauai for the next week. Posting from a phone is challenging. I had a dream last night that LBJ signed a 3 year deal with Cavs.
I just came up with an idea:
I know Cavs fans are desperate for LeBron to stay and I’ve got a wild idea. Why don’t Dan Gilbert use all of his convincing powers to Toronto & Chris Bosh to do a sign-and-trade? My suggestion is to S&T Bosh + Jack for Jamison+Telfair+West+2011 first round draft pick. I know TOR signed Amir Johnson to a hefty contract but come on, he’s not yet ready. Jamison could help Amir develop, plus Toronto now has expiring contracts of Telfair & West for next season, which saves them money, and signing Bosh to Cavs will make James’ decision moot since he now has an all-star partner. I envision their lineup will be :
C: Varejao
PF: Bosh
SF: James
SG: Parker
PG: Mo Williams
Then the remaining problem left is a bruising backup center. My suggestion is to convince Jermain O’Neal to sign a vet’s minimum then the bench will be:
C: O’Neal
PF: Hickson
SF: Jawad Williams
SG: Jamario Moon
PG: Jarett Jack
11th: Big Z
12th: Sign Eddie House for insurance.
13th: Leon Powe
14th: Gibson
Isn’t that possible? Should be. Having a coach like Byron Scott can make championship contenders immediately. It’s possible if they are persuasive. If that happens, then it’s a win-win for the city of Cleveland.
