LeBron and the rest of the starters likely won’t play for the Cavs. It’s a possible ECF preview, except it’s not. Expect the Magic to take the game, and expect the Cavs to make sure the Magic don’t get the satisfaction of beating the “real” Cavalier team. Open thread.

The Comment Monster
A monster lives in the comments section of Cavs: The Blog, and he likes to feed on comments. We have very little idea about when he will strike. What we do know is that comments with 2 or more links will get filed into the spam folder, as will comments with foul or discriminatory language. The comment monster also seems to enjoy extra-long comments, so if you have a long comment, you may want to press copy before submitting a long comment and break it into multiple pieces if the monster eats it. If you are having particular trouble with the monster, email one of us and we will talk to him for you.

Windhorst reports that LBJ, Jamison, Mo, and AP won’t play
Windhorst blog states MO and Jamison will play but Lebron is sitting again…he may play on Wednesday vs. Hawks and Shaq might be back that game as well.
Should be an interesting game as Cavs really arent trying to win and Magic are trying to get second best record in entire NBA locked up with a win here.
Shouldnt be big deal if we win or lose…James isnt in game and Magic are aware of that…the real deal will be in playoffs if/when they meet.

Man I don’t get this. They were running plays and had an offense going, then two tunovers and an early shot clock brick. They take Jamison out and suddenly we are a different team.
Shouldn’t mike brown have a play set up for mo Williams by now? His last second shots are horrible looks. And I agree with you Kevin, we need Jamison.

And what happened to going to what worked in the first half? Why is Jamison perched outside when they had no answer for him down low?
98-92 with no Lebron is a damn good result. Delonte is just awesome, I love that guy.
What was the point of that game? Playing Mo and Jamison starter’s minutes and then not letting them play at all during the 4th. I’ve been a Mike Brown supporter in the past but he looked like a complete fool today.
Delonte played very well right up until the 4th quarter. He kind of lost the game in the 4th with his turnovers.
I do have one thing I’m kind of confused about. When the 4th quarter started without Mo and Tawn, it was obvious MB was conceding this game. Since they weren’t really trying to win, why not let Bassy try and run the offense against an actual team? We’ve seen what he can do against bad teams, wouldn’t this have been a good test for him? The Magic were still playing their starters in the 4th, but the team continued to let Delonte run the point, and all he was doing was shooting the team in the foot. I would have been much more content with this loss had the Cavs actually tried to work on something, rather than pretend like they were trying to win (because we all knew they weren’t).

Our JV’s have played 3 close games without a blowout loss. Without LBJ we’re like the Thunder from last year lol
