John Kuester will re-join the Cavaliers. Boy is this moving quickly, and in plenty of time for the staff to meet with Chris Grant and the analytics department to go over draft scenarios.

Just to re-iterate, the Cavaliers, in 2008-2009, won 66 games, and sported the 4th most efficient offense in the NBA. They did this, despite doling out 4000 minutes to Ben Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic, rookies J.J. Hickson and Darnell Jackson, Lorenzen Wright, and Tarence Kinsey.

Nate Tibbetts and Jamahl Mosley will be retained from Byron Scott’s staff, the source added. Bernie Bickerstaff, who took over for Brown briefly with the Lakers earlier this season, could also be added in an advisory/coaching role.”

@JAG – yeah, that definitely happened. I mentioned this b4, but in the game when the Cavs decided to foul Howard immediately after he received an entry pass, the Magic got into the bonus early, and then any of their other 4 players (who could all handle the ball) would put their head down and drive starting 30 feet from the hoop. And after a nice whiplash move, the refs blew the whistle every single time. They shot an absurd amount of free throws. SVG outcoached Brown in the press in that series. He waged a campaign claiming that LeBron got too many calls when driving to the hoop. Unfortunately the officilas responded to his outcry while the Magic shot the lights out that series.
Cavs lost to Orl because we didn’t match up well, and they shot about 50000 more FT’s. The Magic blew us out by nearly 40 in the regular season, it was a miracle those games were even close…
If he adds Kuester and keeps Mosley, as the rumor mill suggests, then I like that move. Just hope Brown stays far away from the offensive game planning and hires someone to help him make halftime adjustments. ..maybe that’s where Bickerstaff comes in. We shall see.
Regardless of what Tom says, this team got KILLED in second halves during the Orlando series and lucky shooting is only part of the reason. SVG outcoached the hell out of MB.
Actually pretty excited to see if Tristan Thompson can reach full beast defender status with Mike Brown
Mike Brown had an affinity for hard working players with good motors: Varejao, D-block, D West.
I think he and Tristan will enjoy each other and work hard for each other.
