This All-Star Weekend is shaping up to be a good one for Cavs fans. Young superstar guard Kyrie Irving has been selected to participate in the NBA Three-Point Contest, along with Ryan Anderson, Steve Novak, Matt Bonner, Paul George (?) and Stephen Curry. Give it up for Kyrie! I’m thinking All-Star MVP and Three-Point Contest trophies, to go along with his Rising Stars MVP.
Got a feeling Dion is going to light it up
Chris UK hit it on the nose. I wasn’t expecting Kyrie to get picked early at all. Blake Griffin got picked first last year, and they learned their lesson after he played 4 minutes and sat on the bench the rest of the time.
I doubt Kyrie plays more than 5 mins. If Shaq is trying to win, Kyrie probably wasn’t the best first pick.
Calling it now: Irving sets new record in the 3 point contest.
Was hoping the Cavs got split up Kyrie/Zeller on one squad and Dion/Thompson on the other so they could each run a two-man and possibley have all four be among the top scorers. Unfortunately, Shaq took Unk Drew, Dion and Zeller, leaving Tristan by himself on team Chuck.
Surprised Kyrie wasn’t the first pick. Lillard and Ant Davis went 1-2.
