@ Thatguy don’t be that guy. As to when to rest Kyrie. You take him out with 2 minutes left in the 3rd preferably at the start of a commercial break. You then rest him for the rest of the quarter and but him back in with 10 minutes or so left. That way he gets almost 10 minutes sitting (ok maybe more like 7) because of all the foul shots at the end of the 3rd plus 2 commercial breaks at minimium. I would rather rest Kyrie a few extra minutes in the 2nd and bring him in with 9 or 10 left in the 4th, as opposed to bringing him in with 6. And I don’t think three extra minutes a game would ruin his career.
Is he supposed to play all 12 minutes in the 4th? He’s not a big guy, he’s gonna get beat up and worn down. Especially 40, 50, 60 games down the road. And if he is worn down, we wouldn’t witness the magic he often provides with 3-4 minutes to go.
When would you suggest he get his rest in the second half so you are not angered an unbelievable amount? Because whenever it is he rests, chances are good he has a nearly insurmountable deficit from that moment.
So, who’s worse, Omri “the garbage time warrior” Casspi or CJ “don’t call me Darius” Miles?
It honestly angers me an unbelievable amount that Byron Scott refuses to play Kyrie Irving more in the fourth quarter. He regularly is kept out until he has a nearly insurmountable deficit to overcome.
