It appears he is the first player to put up 9 points, 23 rebounds and 9 assists in a game since Charles Barkley. Also, if anyone cares, Dan Gilbert admitted that he feels like an idiot about the title-before-Lebron guarantee. I’m one of the few staunch defenders of Gilbert that remains; I’ve always found his raw sentimentality and braggadocio very refreshing in a mostly emotionless modern sports world. Here’s the link.
Sports journalism’s use Gilbert because he’s an easy target. I’d rather have Gilbert than just about any other owner in the NBA. This Cavs era won’t turn into a mess like Sacramento because of Gilbert. He’s also a self-made billionaire. Mickey Arison is a college dropout who inherited everything from his father.
Per Hollinger stats, Andy had an INSANE 40% offensive rebound rate Tuesday night. TWO OUT OF EVERY FIVE SHOTS THE CAVS MISSED, HE REBOUNDED. Incredible.
