@JHill -- agreed, I like Zeller a lot. I always liked him a lot more than his brother and I think people are using his bro as a reference way too much. To me, Noel, Oladipo, and Zeller are the NBA players, assuming Noel's knee heals and he doesn't re-injure it.

Cody Zeller, dude projects as a taller more athletic Bosh/Aldridge, I fail to see how in this draft he's not slated to go top 3. I honestly think that Tyler's softness has affected his stock or something because it doesn't make any sense to me how someone who is 7 ft tall jumped and insane vertical for a big and then beat a top rated SG (oladipo) in an agility contest isn't being rated higher.

Could this be the year that the best player drafted is an afterthought for most lottery teams?

If not for Kyrie the best players from the 2011 draft might end up being the 11th, 15th and 22d picks or even the draft and stash guy taken 24th!

I wonder why Stephens never tried to be a high jumper. I wonder how well his talents would translate to track.

And an interesting case is Jamaal Franklin. Normally, he'd be a guy who would (and might still) fall despite having the skills to be a very competent NBA player. But, the Kawhi Leonard effect now makes Franklin's overlookable skills into imagination worthy. You can see how Franklin could develop into a shorter version of Kawhi -- and how valuable that type of player (even a shorter version) can be on a winning basketball team.

I think Tony Mitchell is definitely on this year's list for me. In my head, he's morphed (fairly unfoundedly, I might add) into a guy who could play both forward spots. Get a guy that's 6'8", strong and athletic who's agile and quick enough to play on the perimeter some? Gotta play against Paul George, LeBron, Durant and Carmelo, right? I've decided that Mitchell's a guy you can roll the dice on developing into that. Tough to put my finger on what made me decide that outside of the Cavs needing it.
